"I’ve heard that some people are successfully triggering this circuit with the Highly Liquid MD24 MIDI decoder." Any information on how to set this up?

Cheers eric keep up the good work.

that is all? no switching transistors? i will put a diode, just to be shure, but this is GREAT!!!
thank you very much!!!

dgmt: triggering from 5V logic pulses is no problem. Be sure to connect ACC to +12(or +15V), then connect TRIG to the digital port that you want to trigger from. Be sure the microcontroller circuit's ground is connected to the analog circuit ground.

I've heard that some people are successfully triggering this circuit with the Highly Liquid MD24 MIDI decoder.

Great work!
Only one question, is it possible to trigger the drums using 5VDC? can it be interfaced to a microcontroller???

Sounds like a capacitor could improve this arrangement, something I definitely will test out. Thank you!

I found that by connecting ACC to +15 and a piezo between TRIG and GND, I could sound the drums by tapping the piezo. It sounded different though because the piezo signal has multiple peaks and valleys, which adds a jagged attack to the 808 sound I was familiar with. But it was possible to play it with some dynamics.

Does anyone have experience with using a piezo to trigger one of the drums? It would make an easy way to give you some dynamic playing...

thanks for the update, would really love making the the RS/CL (rimshot / clave) first if you have time to share it!

thanks for the replies, email me if you have any questions about building this. that way we can add MORE BASS VIBRATIONS to the universe, and thats a good thing.

Eric, you're the greatest sharing all this information!
This has made my efforts for cloning the 808 much easier.

Thanks,
kroffe, Sweden
